August 5th Webinar: Building Knowledge Translation Capacity Through Business Relationships

Join KTER on Wednesday, August 5, from 2:00–3:00 p.m. ET for a practical discussion on how researchers can build meaningful partnerships with businesses to strengthen knowledge translation and disability employment research. The event features a facilitated panel with representatives from three businesses— Livingston Educational Service Agency, Kuehne + Nagel, and Morley Companies— and a member of the KTER Center’s Business Advisory Council, Sriram Narayanan of the Eli Broad Business School at Michigan State. The discussion will explore strategies for engaging employers, building trust, navigating organizational structures, and using business insights to develop more relevant research, dissemination products, and implementation strategies.

KTER will apply to the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) to offer 1.0 continuing education unit (CEU) for this webinar.

KTER Staff Exhibited at APSE 2026

KTER staff recently attended and exhibited at the 2026 Association of People Supporting Employment First  (APSE) Conference, where conversations highlighted a strong demand for practical strategies that move research into action. Key themes included maintaining person-centered values while adapting to change, expanding employment supports beyond one-size-fits-all approaches, strengthening workforce capacity, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and technology thoughtfully, and focusing on job retention and workplace design alongside job placement. The conversations also underscored the need for stronger provider-research partnerships and more usable data to support decision-making. These insights reinforce KTER’s role in bridging evidence to practice through resources that are credible, actionable, and responsive to the needs of the field.
